Your Safety at Belladrum
We want everyone attending Belladrum to feel welcome, relaxed and able to enjoy everything the festival has to offer.
The safety and wellbeing of our visitors, artists, volunteers, staff and wider festival community is always our highest priority. Belladrum operates comprehensive, around-the-clock security arrangements and works closely with Police Scotland, emergency services and specialist security partners before and throughout the festival.
A wide range of protective measures are in place across the site. For security reasons, we do not publish every operational detail, but our plans are continually reviewed and informed by current professional guidance.

How We Help Keep Belladrum Safe
A professional security presence operating 24 hours a day across the festival site
Trained security teams positioned at entrances, exits and key locations
Regular patrols and monitoring throughout the arena, campsites and surrounding areas
Appropriate entry, accreditation, search and screening procedures
CCTV and other protective security measures across the site
Detailed risk assessments, emergency plans and incident-response procedures
Ongoing liaison and information sharing with Police Scotland and partner agencies
Regular review of emerging risks, guidance and relevant intelligence
A coordinated approach involving festival management, security teams, medical providers, emergency services and local partners
These measures are designed to be effective without getting in the way of the friendly, welcoming atmosphere that makes Belladrum so special.
Our Team
Our staff, stewards & volunteers play an important role in keeping the festival safe.
Teams receive appropriate training and regular briefings covering areas such as protective security awareness, safeguarding, emergency response, fire safety, evacuation procedures and responsible communications.
Customer-facing staff are supported by experienced security professionals and festival management throughout the event. Daily operational briefings help ensure that teams remain informed, alert and prepared to respond appropriately if assistance is needed.
Belladrum maintains close working relationships with Police Scotland, emergency services and relevant safety organisations.
Planning and information sharing takes place before the festival, with continued coordination throughout the event. Police officers and specialist teams may also be present in and around the festival site as part of our shared commitment to keeping everyone safe.
Our plans are reviewed alongside representatives from relevant agencies through established event-safety and advisory processes.
You Can Help Too
Everyone at Belladrum has a part to play in looking after one another, and year on year, you all do an incredible job of just that!
Please keep your belongings with you, follow instructions from festival staff (who are here to keep you safe, and happy) and never leave bags or personal items unattended. If you do notice something that doesn’t feel right, or see anything that causes you concern, please speak to the nearest member of security, stewarding staff or police. Never feel like you are waisting anyone’s time.
