FAIR WORK FIRST
Fair Work First is the Scottish Government’s policy for driving high-quality and fair work in Scotland. Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival is committed to the Scottish Government’s Fair Work First policy and advancing the Fair Work First criteria. Specifically;
Effective Voice
We believe in empowering employees’ voices and establishing this through many avenues of engagement. The festival provides a safe environment for employees to contribute ideas and feed into decision-making. Staff meetings take place weekly and provide a space for discussion, progress updates, and information sharing. We have procedures and support mechanisms in place to support employees. Belladrum has an open view on whether employees want to join Trade Unions.
Opportunity
We run a fair and transparent recruitment process. We invest in training for all employees, focusing on organisational priorities and individual personal development. Formal and informal learning is encouraged, relating to roles and responsibilities or to address business or personal development. Colleagues are encouraged to share their skills and knowledge with each other and to act as mentors to support the ongoing development of colleagues whenever possible.
Security
Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival offers meaningful work that provides a reliable income, offering contracts on sensible hour-based rates. We do not use or issue zero-hour contracts. Belladrum pays above the Real Living Wage to all employees based on their role and performance, regardless of gender. We are an equal opportunity employer and support flexible, family-friendly working patterns for all workers from day one of employment, including working from home. Belladrum is committed to advancing equality of opportunity in all aspects of its activities. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons.
Fulfilment
Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival is committed to developing and maintaining a fulfilling working environment, promoting a sense of belonging.
Respect
Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival is a family event and prides itself on its attitude towards inclusivity of everyone onsite. Our 20+ year history has been built on the core values of community, inclusivity and acceptance. By the very nature of our multi-genre of music, Belladrum Festival has an organically diverse audience that champions the acceptance of inclusion. These values are very important to the festival team.
We are committed to providing a safe and welcoming space where everyone can happily connect through music and where our patrons can freely be themselves without fear of facing abuse, intolerance or violence.
We believe it is the shared responsibility of organisers, volunteers, artists, contractors and patrons to help embrace a wonderfully diverse and inclusive festival.
Belladrum has a ‘zero tolerance’ policy towards incidents of intimidation, violence and physical or verbal harassment, related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, age or religion. We expect all contractors and crew onsite to show respect to each other and the public.
We have zero tolerance for bullying and other forms of abuse and harassment.
Opposing Fire and Rehire Practices
Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival opposes and does not engage in ‘fire and rehire’ practices.
