Getting here - it's closer than you think
The Scottish Highlands might sound like an adventure in itself, but the truth is Belladrum is far more accessible than you might expect. Whether you're travelling from Glasgow, Edinburgh, London or anywhere in between, you're looking at lots of travel options and a bit of a mini adventure, that's half the fun. Here's everything you need to plan your route to Bella.
TRAIN TRAVEL
Hop on a train, and wake up at Bella
Inverness is well connected by rail, with services from LNER, ScotRail and the legendary Caledonian Sleeper. From Glasgow Queen Street, you're looking at roughly 3 hours 17 minutes to 4 hours 35 minutes depending on your service, and that's time well spent getting into the festival spirit.
The Caledonian Sleeper is worth a mention all of its own. Board in London, Edinburgh, Glasgow or beyond, sleep your way north, and step off in Inverness fresh and ready for Bella. It's the most civilised way to travel to a festival we've ever heard of!
Inverness rail station is right next to the bus station, which is exactly where our shuttle bus departs from. So you can step off the train and straight onto a shuttle to site without a fuss.
COACH
Coach it north , sit back and enjoy the scenery
Travelling by coach from central Scotland? From Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow, you're looking at approximately 3 hours 40 minutes to 3 hours 55 minutes. Operators including CityLink and Ember run services from cities across the UK and Scotland directly to Inverness , from where our shuttle bus service picks you up and brings you straight to the festival.
What’s more, if you book with Citylink, you can enter Belladrum as your destination and this will allow you to book your coach travel along with your festival shuttle bus all in one click! Easy peasy.
SHUTTLE BUS
Our shuttle bus, the Bella express
Once you're in Inverness, we've got you covered. We've partnered again with D&E Coaches to run a regular shuttle bus service between Inverness Bus Station and the festival site, with stops including Beauly, Muir of Ord, Dingwall and more.
Pre-booking is strongly advised , tickets are on sale now and go quickly. Head to the D&E Coaches website to book your seats.
Top tip: Arriving by train or coach? The rail and bus stations in Inverness are right next to each other — making the hop onto your shuttle bus as smooth as possible.
BY CAR
Bringing the car to Bella
Driving is a popular choice, especially for families, and from the central belt you're typically looking at around 3 hours 11 minutes to 3 hours 48 minutes depending on your route and the traffic.
We'd love it if you could car share where possible, it helps us manage the car park and gets everyone in faster. For those travelling from Inverness, you can expect a travel time of around 20 minutes. (Although this can take longer at peak times such as Thursday morning and Saturday evening)
A couple of important things to know before you head off:
Car parking passes must be booked in advance - they are not included in your general entry ticket. Income from car park passes goes directly to our Belladrum Festival Community Fund.
Green car park passes are best suited to campers staying for the full weekend.
White car park passes are best suited to day ticket holders or those travelling in and out.
Parking is on grass, vehicles with very low ground clearance may not be suitable.
No trailers or trailer tents in the car parks.
Camping in car parks is not permitted.
When you book your car parking pass, you can choose your preferred car park. We'll send a window sticker to your home address ahead of the festival so you're directed to the right place on arrival.
Drop off and Pick up
Getting dropped off at Bella
Roping in a kind friend or family member to drop you off? Lovely stuff. We have a dedicated Pick Up and Drop Off (PUDO) area on site, accessed via the main car park entrance. We'll share an updated travel map ahead of the festival and it'll be clearly signposted when you arrive.
Please don't walk along the A862 or A833, these are narrow main roads and not safe for pedestrians. If you're being dropped off nearby, please ask to be let out at a bus stop to pick up the shuttle, or at the official PUDO area. We want you to arrive safe and smiling!

Flying in? Inverness Airport is closer than you think too

Where to stay - onsite and beyond
Your weekend ticket includes camping as standard, so you're already sorted if you want to pitch up and make a proper weekend of it. But whether you're a die-hard tent dweller or someone who likes their creature comforts, there's an option here for you.
Camping: Bring your own tent and choose from our general, family or quiet campsites depending on your vibe. Prefer not to faff with poles in a field? Check out our pre-pitched tent options for a hassle-free arrival.
Glamping: Fancy something a little more luxurious? Our glamping options include pre-pitched tents, bell tents and glampervan pitches. A proper treat, with plenty of perks, and you'll still have the full Bella experience on your doorstep.
Campervans & caravans: Campervans and caravans are welcome on site, just make sure you book an additional campervan ticket in advance as spots sell out fast. Please note roof-box style tents aren't permitted in the campervan area, or on site, for safety reasons.
Local hotels & B&Bs: Not a camper? Absolutely no judgement here. There are plenty of hotels and B&Bs in Inverness and the surrounding area, and with our shuttle bus services, you won't miss a thing. Book early though, the area gets busy during summer and the North Coast 500 draws visitors from all over the world!
Nearby towns: As above, If on-site options are fully booked, Inverness and Beauly are both great bases to look for accommodation. Beauly in particular is a short hop away and a lovely wee town worth knowing about.
Whatever you choose, book early where you can as options fill up quickly around festival dates. The earlier you sort it, the sooner you can stop thinking about logistics and start looking forward to Belladrum!
Make it a Highland adventure - Bella and the NC500
Already thinking about a trip north? Make it count.
Belladrum sits right in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, putting you in the perfect position to pair your festival weekend with one of the world's most celebrated road trips. The North Coast 500. Scotland's legendary 500-mile coastal route takes in rugged coastlines, ancient mountains, mirror-still lochs and some of the most jaw-dropping scenery you'll ever see from a car window.
The combination writes itself. Spend a few days losing yourself in the wild beauty of the Highlands, then roll into Bella for three days of music, community and pure escapism. Or flip it and finish the festival on a high and hit the road straight after, NC500 map in hand.
However you plan it, it's the kind of trip you'll be talking about for years.
