Highland Action for Little Ones (HALO) announced as 2025 Charity Partner

Each year, as well as donating around 200 tickets to charities, community groups and fundraisers - we choose a charity partner to work with throughout the year, and across the entire Belladrum festival weekend.

We are so excited to announce that HALO are our official charity partners for 2025! Through this partnership, we aim to support the efforts of HALO, not just by raising money but by also providing them with a platform to increase overall awareness of their cause.

There are a number of ways you can become involved in supporting HALO through Belladrum. You can choose to donate while purchasing your festival ticket, and you can share our social media content relating to HALO and the amazing work that they do!

The HALO team will also be provided a free stall at our 2025 festival, to use for awareness and to continue their fundraising efforts. We very much look forward to working with this wonderful team, and sharing more about them and their work - very soon!

Quote from Mel Thomson, Founder -

"Poverty casts a shadow that no child should bear, and it should never define a child's potential, their dreams and aspirations should hold no boundaries. When something as simple as a warm winter jacket and boots encourages a child to want to attend school, it’s a small step on their path to a brighter future."

About Highland Action for Little Ones

Established in January 2023, by Mel Thomson and her daughters Ashley and Lauren, Highland Action for Little Ones (Halo) serves communities in the Highlands of Scotland affected by the cost-of-living crisis and children living in poverty.

Supporting some of the most vulnerable children and families in the Highlands, they work to uplift and empower disadvantaged children and low-income families by providing essential support and resources. Dedicated to making a positive difference in communities across the Highlands, they supply clothing, shoes, nappies, baby equipment, school clothing, and essentials such as toiletries.  They achieve this by collecting donations of both new and pre-loved items from the community, which are recycled, and reused, thus promoting a circular economy.

Since the charity was founded just 18 months ago, nearly 2000 children have received support from Halo.
