Belladrum Festival Community Trust

The team behind Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival are delighted to announce the launch of the Belladrum Festival Community Trust (SC054123), a new charitable organisation that will see money generated from the festival reinvested directly back into the local communities.

Organisations from grassroots sports teams, schools and youth groups, to cultural organisations, charities and environmental projects - can apply for grant funding for projects within the boundaries of Kiltarlity, Beauly, Kirkhill and Bunchrew Community Councils.

For the 2025-2026 application round, we have £20,000 available. We recommend applying for between £250 - £2,000, but we are willing to review applications for more.

For a grant application to be successful, it must fulfil one or more of the following purposes:

  • The advancement of community development and citizenship

  • The advancement of education

  • The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture, and science

  • The advancement of environmental protection and improvement, including the preservation, sustainable development and conservation of the natural environment, the maintenance, improvement, or provision of environmental amenities for the Community and/or the preservation of buildings or sites of architectural, historic, or other importance to the Community

  • The provision of recreational facilities and activities available to the Community and to members of the public at large, with the object of improving the conditions of life of the Community

  • The prevention or relief of poverty

  • The advancement of public participation in sport

  • The advancement of animal welfare; and

  • The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship, or other disadvantage.

Important Information

Application process:

Applicants must complete the application form in full. After the deadline, the Trustees will review and score all submissions using a scoring matrix. Funding awards will be determined on a case-by-case basis, with the Trustees deciding the amount granted to each successful applicant.

Results:

Successful applicants will be notified by email or phone by the Belladrum team. Applicants may be contacted if more information is required.

Disclaimer:

To make sure funding benefits the community as intended, we ask that funds be claimed within 6 months and spent within 12 months of approval. If this is not feasible, you may request an extension with reasoning and proof.

Deadlines:

For the 2025 - 2026 Application Year, Applications will be open from 10th October - 12th December 2025. Applicants will hear back by the end of January 2026.

Terms and conditions:

Applicants must be 18+. If you are over 18, you can apply on behalf of an under-18. The address of the applicant or project must be within the boundaries of the Kiltarlity Community Council, Kirkhill and Bunchrew Community Councils. Applications must support one or more of the categories listed above. Evidence of the project's need for funding will be requested from shortlisted applications.
