This summer’s biggest role? It’s yours.
Student placements at Belladrum are open now!
We’re super excited to be offering our annual placement opportunity, exclusively for UHI students.
A festival site operates like a miniature town, brought to life by a diverse range of roles. From essential infrastructure like plumbing and lighting, to health and safety, catering, bars, and market traders, right through to production, staging, decor, performers, medical, and welfare teams—there’s a place for every skillset and passion.
We've highlighted just some of the existing roles, but if you’re looking for something specific that is not listed or have a particular area of interest, Team Bella would love to hear from you!

How To ApplyWe do not expect you to have festival or event experience to apply. This is a unique opportunity to get involved and see the behind the scenes of Scotland’s largest camping family music and performing arts festival. The on-site festival team is built up of previous UHI students and volunteers who return to work with at the festival year on year.
To apply, please send your CV with your relevant experience to futures@uhi.ac.uk by 23 May 2025, answering the following questions in either written, voice note or video format.
What interests you about working at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, and what do you hope to gain from the experience?
What tasks or roles would you be most excited to take on during the festival, and why?
Where do you see this experience fitting into your personal, academic, or career goals?
You’ve just finished your shift and have time to enjoy the festival — where are you headed first? (music, food, bar, entertainment, campsite)
UHI would also love you to share your Bella story with them, and are offering £100 in exchange for any creative content you can gather while at the festival.
Successful students must commit 3 days of 8-hour shifts over the festival weekend. This is a voluntary position. Camping, parking and meals during shifts are included. If you have extra availability and wish to experience the build period on the run up to the festival show days, this can also be arranged.
The festival runs from Thursday 31 July - Saturday 2 August 2025
