Meet Your Venus Comedians

GARY FAULDS

Gary Faulds is a Scottish comedian born in the north of Glasgow and raised in the East End.

Gary was raised by his best pal, his mother Ann, until she met his step dad David when four. David raised Gary as his own son and Gary says that David is his biggest influence in comedy.

David ran a lot of pubs in Glasgow and at a young age Gary was forced into child labour. By the time he was 6 he was a pot man in the pubs, collecting empty pint glasses, giving grown men marriage advice and telling the punters jokes at the bar for crisps.

From being told about his bank robber biological dad at sixteen to being the black sheep of a crime family, his only option was the Army.

After eight years in the British Army, Gary had to leave to support his step dad who was diagnosed with terminal cancer. After two years travelling the world he sadly lost the biggest influence in his life. So comedy is Gary's way of spreading his dad's memoirs of being a Glaswegian pub landlord.

Now a married man punching above his weight with three children and a stepson of his own, Gary is following in his step dad’s footsteps.

Gary's style of comedy is story telling and you will be sucked into his funny life. His stand up is more than just funny and informative. After a punch line packed five minutes you will know the basics of his life and by 20 minutes you will practically be cousins.

MICHAEL LEGGE

Michael is a legend of the comedy circuit, a seasoned headliner and multi award winning comedian. There’s not much Michael hasn’t done or a club he hasn’t performed at. He has literally been there and done.

His awards include the Sony Award and a BAFTA nomination and he has performed across the globe. As we said there’s not much he hasn’t done!

JORDAN DUCHARME

From humble beginnings starting in Vancouver (CA), Jordan worked hard to become a solid comedian on the local circuit. Not only performing comedy regularly in the city but hosting and producing a variety of shows.

Jordan began comedy hoping to adopt the witty and gritty type of humour that made him fall in love with stand up as a teenager. He's continued to mature into a competent powerhouse on stage, with no subject off limits and no stone left unturned in his own life.

Moving to Manchester in 2019, Jordan was quick to make a big splash, quickly winning the local clubs gong show competitions and transitioning them into work at said clubs.

Keep your eyes peeled for Jordan on nearby shows in the city as he continues to build himself into one of the more promising comedians the UK has to offer.

SULLY O’SULLIVAN

Sully O’Sullivan is a seasoned international headliner who has performed all over the world.

First stepping onto the stage in his native New Zealand, Sully rocketed to stardom making his TV debut just 7 months later in New Zealand’s cult stand-up series Pulp Comedy on TV2, where he went on to appear in another three seasons.

In 2005 Sully decided to spread his comedy wings and head to the sunny coasts of Great Britain. Over a decade later and he’s now performed in almost every corner of the country including the Orkney Islands, the Isle Of Man, the Isle Of White & the Channel Islands! Basically there’s not many places in the UK that Sully hasn’t set foot. Renowned as an act capable of performing in any room and to any audience, Sully has also built up a reputation as one of the most reliable and quick witted comperes on the circuit.

Sully has also provided tour support for Tim Vine, Steve Hughes & Mick Foley!

BELLA HUMPHRIES

Bella is a comedian, actor and writer. Having just finished training at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, in late 2020 she moved to rural North Wales and really started to make a name for herself in the comedy world.

Bella has done tour support for Kiri Pritchard-McLean and Harriet Kemsley, written for BBC Radio Wales and performed at Machynlleth Comedy Festival, Just The Tonic, Backyard Comedy Club, Greenman Festival, co-run her own sold out comedy night and made the regional heats for the BBC New Comedy Award – all whilst breaking in to paid work on the circuit all around the country.

In 2023 Bella had a radio feature commissioned which she wrote and presented, called Bleeding Hell. This has since been recommissioned for a second two part series coming in February 2025. Bella now lives in Cardiff and recently brought her debut hour to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The show was nominated for the Edinburgh ISH Awards Best Newcomer, Buxton Fringe’s Best Comedy Show and The Women in Comedy Festival’s Best Show Award.

JOHN GAVIN

John got to the final of ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ within the first month of his comedy career, then quickly went on to perform at The Stand, The Comedy Store and be part of the Gilded Balloon circuit tour.

Shortly after he won the Scottish Comedian of the Year.

John offers tales of his home life with a wife and 3 young daughters, essentially a 6ft tattooed man who has been subjected to far too much High School Musical and pink fluffy toys.

“His effortless likeability and unaffected charm make his conversational set all the more engaging…he has all the makings of a class act” Chortle
