Belladrum x Co-op Talent Search: Calling Aspiring Artists!
Co-op Members Get the Chance to Play at Scotland’s Largest Camping Festival
We’re super excited to announce that we’ve teamed up with our good friends at Co-op to offer an exciting opportunity for emerging artists. As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting grassroots music, Co-op members are invited to enter an exclusive talent search, with two lucky winners earning a slot to perform on our popular Bella Bar stage or Co-op stage at this year’s festival.
We’re celebrating 21 years this year and throughout this time, we’ve had a long-standing reputation for championing new talent, giving countless artists their first taste of performing at a major festival. Thanks to Co-op’s continued partnership, this year’s festival will offer even more opportunities for up-and-coming musicians to step into the spotlight. Open to solo acts and bands from across Scotland, the talent search is designed to uncover the next big thing and provide them with a platform in front of the festival’s lively crowds.
Entries will be reviewed by representatives from Belladrum and Co-op, along with a representative from Hootananny’s - a much loved long-standing supporter of grassroots music in Inverness who are this years sponsors for the Bella Bar stage. The panel will shortlist the most promising acts. From there, one winner will be selected internally, while the second will be decided through a public vote, giving festival fans a say in who they want to see take the stage.
Hear from Dougie Brown, Belladrum Festival Producer:
“Since the very first festival in 2004, Belladrum has been committed to showcasing emerging talent alongside established names. Partnering with Co-op for this talent search aligns perfectly with our belief in nurturing new artists and giving them a stage to shine and grow. We look forward to reviewing the entries!”
Co-op’s partnership with us extends beyond music. As a long-standing festival supporter, Co-op is dedicated to enhancing the festival experience for its members, whether through its on-site store stocked with festival essentials, exclusive Member Prices, or opportunities like this talent search to support grassroots music. Did you know that Belladrum was Co-op's first ‘onsite’ festival store activation, and we have the longest running activation with them, now in its 11th year!?
Nuala Donnelly, Head of Partnerships & Events at Co-op:
“The Belladrum performance competition is another great way for us to reward our members with unique experiences and we’re thrilled that we get to help an emerging performer achieve their dream with this amazing opportunity. Good luck to everyone that’s entering.”
A friendly reminder that Co-op members can download the Co-op App for just £1 (refunded on their first shop) to access Member Prices throughout the festival weekend again this year. Plus, the Co-op onsite store is more than just a store, you can expect live DJs, festival upgrades and all your festival essentials. Co-op ensures attendees have everything they need to enjoy the weekend to the fullest.
