Belladrum 2025: Traffic and Travel Information
We are looking forward to welcoming you to Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival 2025!
To ensure your arrival at the festival is seamless, please read the below and study the maps thoroughly.
Belladrum takes place in the beautiful, rural Highlands, which comes with its own challenges. As many of you will know, not every road is suitable for large vehicles or high levels of traffic. Therefore, we ask that you follow our suggested travel routes to avoid unnecessary congestion, prevent vehicles from getting stuck, and blocking key routes for residents. Please respect our local communities!
RESPECTING OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY
To create as little inconvenience to our local residents and communities and to make festival entry as quick and efficient as possible, please follow the instructions below:
Stick to our suggested routes (please see maps below)
Follow official event signage
Do not follow Google/ Apple maps - not all routes are open to festival traffic!
Respect our local residents and communities
Do not park in the local area or resident driveways
Avoid smaller, back roads. They are not suitable for festival travel. Leave them clear for local residents.

TRAVEL ROUTES
Map 1
Belladrum Festival is located 11 miles west of Inverness. The blue route heads west from Inverness, and the red route heads southwest from Inverness.
Map 2
The main routes towards the festival will be west via the A862 and A833. The route follows the A862 from the west of Inverness city centre. Routing through Bunchrew, Rhinduie and Drumchardine, then will follow the A833 towards the Belladrum event site. Belladrum Lodge (A1) is the Main Entrance for the festival. Vehicles, including camping, day tickets and campervans, will enter through this entrance.
Map 3
The secondary route is directed via the southwest of Inverness along the A82. The route runs adjacent to Loch Ness through Lochend and Drumnadrochit. Then the route would take you onto the A831, then head north via the A833.
TRAVELLING TO BELLA
Car parks open 0800 on Thursday 31st July. The arena opens 12 noon (subject to change).
Car Parking Passes
All customers travelling to Belladrum by car must purchase a parking pass (per vehicle) in advance. All purchased car park passes will be sent to your address registered on your Gigantic account approximately 2 weeks before the event.
Purchase your car parking pass here.
Car parking passes will be removed from the Belladrum website on the 25th of July.
If you do not buy a ticket in advance, there is no guarantee you will be able to park on-site; any available spaces will likely be furthest away from entrances.
If you miss this deadline, you can purchase a White Car Parking pass from Eden Court Theatre (Bishop’s Road, Inverness, IV3 5SA) from the 9th of July until the event (subject to availability). Any car parking passes left will be sold on the day at the higher price of £25 to cover staff time and resources.
Before travelling to Belladrum, attach your parking pass to your windscreen in the top left-hand corner of your car window in advance of arriving at the festival site.
Car Park Descriptions:
Green Car Park - for the family, quiet and clean campsite
Red Car Park - for the general campsite
White Car Park - for day ticket holders, those not staying on site overnight and overflow
Follow the signs to the correct car park. There will be no stopping permitted on the internal roads. If you have any questions, please wait until you are parked.
Please note, if your preferred car park is sold out, you can still camp in your preferred campsite. Follow the signage to the correct gate (see Pedestrian Routes In Car Parks below).
Pick Up and Drop Off (PUDO):
In 2024, we introduced a new entrance for all buses, taxis and vehicles picking up / dropping off. You will not enter the Belladrum Estate gate entrance. Please continue on the A833 to the PUDO entrance, the next left turn. You will be signposted on arrival.

LOOKING AFTER EACH OTHER
For your safety and security, searches will be carried out as you enter the event. Belladrum operates a Zero Tolerance policy when it comes to drugs, illegal substances and items such as flares. Read our full list of prohibited items here.
Valid ID is required for entry. We will be operating Challenge 25 at all bars.
GUARDIANSHIP
We will also be operating guardianship safeguarding checks at the gates. Keep an eye out for our guardianship team.
Under 18’s must not be left under the responsibility of the festival - all guardians are responsible for their under 18’s at all times.
To enter the festival, all under-18s must be accompanied by an over-25 at the ratio of two under-18s to one over-25.
There are two age-identifying wristbands: one for children 12 and under (CHILD) and one for 13-17 year olds (YOUTH). There will be a full ID operation in place at the gates.
Guardianship checks will be performed at the gates.
All those attending with under-18 wristbands will be issued a plain white wristband, and guardians will be asked to write their contact details on the inside of this wristband.
Groups of under-18s camping alone will not be permitted. We will have increased campsite patrols, and any groups we come across will be reunited with their guardians or asked to leave the festival.
Belladrum is very proud of its family-friendly atmosphere, and anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated. Any persistent offenders will be removed from the festival site.
MEDICAL AND WELFARE
We have medical and welfare facilities in the red campsite (24 hours) and arena, with a dedicated team to assist you. If you feel unwell, have any concerns or questions, need a break or perhaps some sun cream (if the weather behaves!), please speak to a member of staff. Welfare staff will be roaming the site in purple hi-vis, don’t be shy - say hello!
