ACCESSIBILITY & WELFARE UPDATES AHEAD OF BELLA 2026

Belladrum has always been a festival built on community, and that means making sure it's a place where everyone feels genuinely welcome. Not as an afterthought, but as part of everything we do. We want Belladrum to be your ‘happy place’ and we work year round to make sure that our attendees have the most amazing visit.

When it comes to accessibility we have a lot to contend with being a festival – it’s naturally a busy site, it’s got some uneven terrain, and there’s a lot going on when it comes to the senses, but we will always strive to achieve the best we can for our attendees so that everyone can come and enjoy themselves across the weekend, and feel comfortable enough to want to attend again.

Year on year, we’re continuing to work on improving the experience for attendees with mobility, sensory and access needs, and so we wanted to provide an update on some of the new or returning additions for 2026, in good time ahead of the gates opening.  We will continue to update this blog post should anything additional be added, or if anything should change.

FREE OFF-ROAD WHEELCHAIR HIRE - ABLE2ADVENTURE

We're delighted to welcome back Able2Adventure again this year.

A slight in location for those who did visit them in 2025, for 2026 they will now be situated in the main arena alongside our market traders so that they can be closer to their customers. Even if you’re not borrowing one of the off road wheelchairs this gives you the opportunity to stop in, say hello and hear about the work that they do.

The Able2Adventure team offer free hire of off-road wheelchairs, both self-propelled and push-assisted, specifically designed to handle outdoor terrain.

Last year all the wheelchairs were booked for the whole festival as numbers are limited, but all of the service users commented on what a difference the wheelchairs made to their festival experience.

One family said –

"They were so much comfier going around in this and it was so much easier to manoeuvre over rough ground! Really helped make this year's Belladrum so much more fun for all of us, being higher up meant he was able to reach things easier too, like "birthing" a cow and watching his favourite bands , thanks again.

Able2Adventure are also able to support with repairs of attendees own chairs. We are so grateful to the Able2Adventure team for their continued support of Belladrum, we know their presence makes a real difference.

Please note that the number of wheelchairs available is limited.

MOBILITY SCOOTER HIRE - BEAULY MOBILITY (new for 2026!)

For the very first time Beauly Mobility Scooters will be joining us on site, based next to the accessibility campsite.

Scooters will be available to hire throughout the festival weekend (subject to availability and with associated costs) and overnight charging will be available too.

Pre-booking is essential and can be done now, ahead of your festival visit through the event hire contact page on their website, or alternatively give the team a call on 01463 263023. The team will listen to your requirements and needs for hire, and be able to provide you costs directly.

Within our own event management team we have a number of mobility scooter users who attend each year to work onsite and so we know the benefits and support this service will bring to our attendees to help them get around and enjoy their weekend visit, with more ease.

We're very excited to welcome Beauly Mobility Scooters to the Bella family!

CALM SENSORY SPACE - NEW FOR 2026

We understand that festivals can be overwhelming. The noise, the lights, the crowds… and we want everyone to be able to enjoy Belladrum in a way that works for them, which sometimes means taking a little bit of timeout.

That's why we're launching a brand new Calm Sensory Space this year, run by the wonderful team at TLC Welfare.

Located away from the main stage, this is a quieter, low-stimulation environment designed with neurodivergent attendees in mind.

Inside, you'll find softer lighting, reduced sound levels, comfortable seating and access to sensory supports including ear defenders and fidget toys.

The space is brand new, will work on limited capacity to keep the atmosphere peaceful, and is staffed by trained members of our welfare team at all times. There's no pressure and no rush… just pop in, take the time you need, and head back to the festival when you're ready.

You'll also find our friendly welfare team nearby; so don't hesitate to say hello.

In addition to this new calming space - we will once again highlight some of the slightly quieter areas of the festival on the arena map for 2026, ahead of the event. These spaces offer a chance to step away from the busier areas of site, into some of the spots that historically have a lower football, if you need a moment.

Above is an example of how we hope our new calming space might look, but it’s currently a work in progress!

ACCESSIBLE BATHROOM FACILITIES - ACCESSOLOO

We’re delighted that AccessoLoo are returning to Belladrum again this year, after joining us for the first time in 2025.

Their fully accessible units are built for everyone and their unit is equipped with specialist features to support dignity, safety, and ease of use of our attendees, including -

  • A height-adjustable adult changing bench

  • An electric ceiling hoist for safe transfers

  • A flushing toilet with accessible layout

  • Grab rails for support

  • A height-adjustable sink with hot and cold running water

  •  Heating and lighting for comfort in all conditions

  • Spacious interior for users and carers

  • Essential consumables

  • Units are fully staffed by attendants to operate the access lift and clean the facility after each usage

This allows people with complex disabilities who cannot use standard accessible toilets the freedom to attend events they would otherwise be unable to.

AccessoLoo is owned and operated by a group of disabled individuals who are passionate about making the events world more inclusive, and their commitment to bathroom dignity for all is something we wholeheartedly share.  You’ll find their unit near the accessible campsite again for 2026.
