Swing open the saloon doors and strut into our Texas Honky-tonk, be prepared to get down home at our country music home from Stateside to this-side mixing it up with all manner of Americana songsters and world renowned A list musicians.
Collated by life long Country Roots fan aficionado, Promoter and Broadcaster Rob Ellen, 19 year with Belladrum and 8 years on the Road, riding point and scouting for pearls.
Every act booked Rob has seen working in their natural environment. Whether that’s a barbecue in Basdrop Texas with Lazarus Nichols and his Grino Pistoleros, a Hoedown in Houston at the Rodeo with Libby Koch and Brian Kalinec or on Music Row Nashville at Bobbies Idle Hour between sessions with the great Patterson Barrett, maybe ever at The Oprey itself (3 times this year for Patterson) with resident Opreyland Entertainer Mark Allen of Ash Mark and Joe, the transatlantic harmony collaboration that brings Nashville, Austin and Sheffield together in a LA Laurel Canyon style melodious melting pot.
Maybe your taste is The Alabama Country Soul of Muscle Shoals then Hanna Aldridge, daughter of hit maker and Fame Studios “Swamper” legend Walt Aldridge, is unmissable, perhaps you fancy the New Orleans Beal Street cut and chops of The Alarms founder steel driving guitar man Dave Sharp, then be tempted to sample the rarefied hights of The Colorado Grand Mesa with David Starr or two step to Appalachian Champion Fiddler and Ameripolitan award winner Cory Grinder.

We delighted to welcome The Blue Rose Recording Alt-Country ambassadors The Wynntown Marshals, the superior fingerstyle troubadour Adrian Nations, the return of Potting Shed Stage favourite old Satchel Mouth himself Pigman & The Rubber Band, spreading humour through harmony and harmonica, some Yee Hah (ma tha) from Highland Hillbillies The Federals, Ness River delta swamp rock rock with Family band The Groove Bloods.
On our acoustic stage, local open mic mother hen Emma Mitchell and Highland chanteuse Susanna Wolfe, social comment and punk attitude of MoRk, James Bar Bowen and Ebo (who appears exclusively with Davy and Sam Cowan) all presented by The Eagle Sessions of Forres, between the main stage acts opening up our own Matt Morrow.
Compères (beyond compare) Darren Poyzer and Fash Stewart, as is tradition, co-ordinating proceedings and mixing the gumbo into a musical jambalaya feast.
Add to this the scratch A list Potting Shed All Stars house band lead by virtuoso multi-instrumentalist Isaac Sutherland and featuring Owen Nicholson on Pedal Steel guitar ready to augment and we have ourselves a Hootananny.
